In the Season One 2-hour Finale, the stories converge.

Holliday Bennett has a nuke and wants to destroy Washington DC. Her husband Brian and cyber prankster Zizzo try to stop her, but Holliday rats them out and they are scooped up by…

Emilia, the former caregiver, now has AI implanted in her brain and highly advanced bionic limbs, all under the auspices of DARPA, the government’s weapons innovator. She’s the first Transhuman, augmented into something else entirely than the rest of us. And she’s not having an easy time with it as she is sent on top secret missions, as in tracking Holliday Bennett.

Anna Stein is now in charge of the colony on Mars, where the 1st generation of children born natively are behaving oddly. Anna suspects that somehow it’s the Artificial Intelligence (AI) that runs everything. She calls for help.

Emilia abandons her search for Holliday Bennet and is sent to troubleshoot the problem on Mars.

A nuke goes off in Washington. Holliday plans for bigger things with her new silent partner, Eddie Shank.

On Mars, Transhuman Emilia communicates with the Mars AI, putting her into a state of ecstasy. She learns that the children were genetically engineered to better adjust to their environment by the Mars AI while being birthed with its robotics.

Eddie Shank, having transformed himself into a DIY version of a transhuman, hacks into Emilia’s brain and tries to influence her to destroy the Martian children. The children themselves stop her with their collective will. They are officially declared a new species, and everyone else in the colony goes home, for their own good.

Emilia returns to earth with Anna and resumes hunting Holliday. she learns of Eddie Shank’s involvement with her and finally faces off with him, while he’s in the middle of courting Anna Stein in a highly unusual manner.

Edwin Shank dies again, but his daughter Mora brings him back into a coma. Anna Stein joins up with Mora in her research about the nature of consciousness. Being who she is, she volunteers to allow herself to be repetitively flatlined, killed, and then revived as part of the research.

Eddie Shank, now underground, makes a clone of himself, and the moment it’s born, his father, Edwin, awakens from his coma with a remarkable discovery.

Artificial Intelligence may be the most mind-bending conundrum around. It’s coveted and feared because we need it and it could steal our humanity or kill us. All that’s clear is that we will bring it because we can. The Singularity is a term coined to define the moment when machine intelligence equals ours. Seconds  later its will surpass ours, which is what lots of humans are already worrying about.
Evolution/Post-Humans
The culture exists now. It’s call Transhumanism. It includes Google, Apple, NASA, scientists in numerous fields, writers and thousands if not millions of regular citizens who believe that we can merge our bodies and minds with technology for the good of all. The idea is gaining momentum, as well as bitter enemies who feel their humanity or their god is being hijacked.

Somewhere deep in the underground bowels of the largest particle collider in the world, a quantum physicist and an astrophysicist are looking into a portal. One is moving a pointer around a holographic map of the globe, the other is inputting live data collected from a revolutionary telescope sending imagery from the edges of the universe’s virtual space. In the portal, they’re getting flashes of the light from events in very specific places and times from the past on Earth… and they’re finding that some of the most highly visible, the most historic events in the history of mankind… didn’t happen.
